Declarations and affidavits

Any declaration signed before a notary is a document declaring that a certain condition is accepted by the declarant. Another statement commonly signed by foreigners at notaries is the affidavit of support, generally used by another foreigner during a residence permit application. An affidavit of support (the notarized undertaking of the host) is requested by the immigration office when an applicant is going to stay at a third person's residence.

What you need, and what we do

  • The affidavit of support is signed by the host (the person whose address you will stay at), not by the applicant.
  • If the host is a foreigner, a sworn interpreter attends the signing.
  • We draft the declaration text in Turkish to the wording the Immigration Office accepts.
  • Same-day at the notary in most cases.

  • The notarized declaration can be couriered to the applicant, in Turkey or abroad.
